Great news Mario fans, the Italian plumber and saviour of the Mushroom Kingdom is finally coming to LEGO.
Teased a few weeks back, the Nintendo and LEGO partnership will finally bring one the most enduring name is video-games to life in brick form and pre-orders have just opened up, with the sets due for release on August 1.
While the original trailer gave us the impression that this was a one-off experience, it seems that Nintendo and LEGO have big plans for the Mario Bros. The clues come in that the set we saw in the trailer is actually called the “Starter Kit” and comes with a free “Monty Mole and Super Mushroom Expansion Set” if you pre-order.
Just to add some additional excitement, LEGO has also announced both Piranha Plant Power Slide and Bowser’s Cast Battle expansion sets, priced at £24.99 and £89.99 respectively.
