This guide provides a list of all of the standard abilities available to multiple characters across LEGO Dimensions. Different worlds, puzzles, minikits, and Gold Bricks will require a variety of abilities to collect.

Standard Abilities/Powers
Acrobat allows characters to perform acrobatic skills, swing on poles, wall jumping, tightropes, etc.

Big Transform allows characters to grow to a larger version of themselves. This bigger version has a number of benefits, including super strength.

The ability to use the circular batarang switches, but throwing projectiles at them.

The ability to dig up objects from the ground at specific dig points.

With this ability the character can dive deep in the water and breathe underwater.

The ability to summon a franchise specific drone that can be used for specific pipes and mazes.

This ability allows the character to shoot electrical bolts and power generators without the need for a keystone.

The ability to fly through the air without the need of a vehicle.

Freeze breathe can be used to freeze objects and characters, as well as put out fires.

This ability allows characters to glide through the sky, different from flying.

The ability to use grapple points and grappling hooks.

Grind Rails allows characters to grind rails, however, players need to gain momentum in order to perform it.

The ability to grow plants from specific points.

The gyrosphere ability is specific to specifical ball-shaped switches.

The hacking ability allows the character to use the large blue terminals to hack a system.

This ability allows the character to clean up hazardous wastes by spraying water on it or sucking it up.

This ability allows the character to interact with hazardous liquids, usually in the form of green/purple ooze.

Certain points require the intelligence ability, such as terminals and boards that have puzzles.

Essentially invincibility, characters with this power cannot be harmed by vehicles or villains.

The laser ability allows a character to fire a laser beam, either from a weapon or as part of their powerset. This beam can destroy gold bricks.

This ability allows the character to deflect a laser beam to a different direction a specific points.

This ability works in a similar way to the Lantern points in LEGO Batman games. At certain points, where you’ll find a translucent pad to stand on, this ability can be activated to create something required for a puzzle.

The ability for a character to use magic, the sparkling blue stars points.

Common with characters that have the magic ability, this ability allows characters to create a protective shield around themselves.

The ability to control a non-playable character that has a question mark over their head.

The ability to access crawl hatches. This ability is common is smaller characters.

An uncommon ability to control, build, and destroy rainbow coloured bricks.

A primary ability required as part of the story, this allows the character to reveal a hidden item based on a pink sparking aura.

Rope Swing allows characters to swing from one platform to another if the Grappling Hooks are placed upwards.

An extremely uncommon ability, this allows characters to switch shapes and different versions of themselves to suit a puzzle.

This ability allows the character to destroy silver-bricked objects, usually with some sort of explosive.

Slurp Access allows characters to squeeze through a vent to access a new area.

This ability gives the character the power to shatter glass.

The ability of super speed.

The Stealth ability is used to turn the character invisible or dress in disguise, usually to avoid a camera or sensor.

The super jump allows the character to jump much large than normal heights and distances.

This ability allows the character to smash through cracked walls and floors. To note, the Big Transform ability also allows this.

Sword Switch allows the character to insert and push a sword in certain switches, usually to unlock an entrance or object.

The ability for a character to shoot targets, usually white circles with red X’s on.

Technology allows a character to interact with control panels to activate chests or solve specific puzzles.

This ability allows a character to track down LEGO objects by following a set of footprints that create a path on the ground.

The ability for a character to cut through long green vines.
