With two series’ under their belt here in the UK, Channel 4’s ‘LEGO Masters’ is heading across the pond for a bricked up run. Quickly becoming Channel 4’s highest-rated new series in 2017, LEGO Masters turns the talent of LEGO design into a competition for all ages, pitting the best master-builders against each other in weekly challenges.
As the series has continued to be popular in its second series, it was only a matter of time before the show was circulated across the globe, and that’s exactly what will be happening with Endemol Shine Group now having exclusive rights to distribute the show outside of the UK, as well as produce local version of the show.
In February 2018, Endemol Shine Group announced that local versions were being produced for Australia and Germany. Teaming up with UK-based production company Tuesday’s Child and Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment, Endemol Shine North America will now also bring the show to American audiences.
“It’s awesome to team up with Plan B and Endemol Shine North America to bring Lego Masters to the States,” said Tuesday’s Child Managing Director Karen Smith. “It’s a format filled with wonder, emotion, drama and loads of smashing bricks. The competitors excel in story-telling, engineering artistry, ingenuity and genuinely thinking
outside the box.”
As discussions are due to begin with US media platforms later this month, it won’t be long before more information about the series is available.
