This guide will show you how to achieve 100% completion on LEGO The Hobbit Level 8 – Out of the Frying Pan.
The video will show you what is required to 100% the level with additional detail below for each part. Each level of the core story requires you to collect the following:
- Ten Minikits
- Four Treasures
- A blacksmith design

Minikit #1 (00:18):
From the beginning of the level as you’re running down the hill, stay in the middle of the path and you can’t miss the minikit.
Minikit #2 (00:56):
In the next section, on the right of the first area is a silver-bricked rock in the wall. Destroy it and then use Bilbo with the ring to put the pieces together for the minikit.
Minikit #3 (01:42):
Head to the front right of the area and use the hanging poles to work your way around the cliff edge to a hidden platform with the minikit on it.
Minikit #4 (02:22):
At the back in the middle of this area there is a tree with debris around the bottom of it. Destroy it and then build the pieces into a fire point. Set the fire for the minikit.
Minikit #5 (02:53):
Once you’re over the plank above the tree fire you started for the previous minikit, smash the boulder into place, jump on it, and then jump left. The minikit is hidden behind the large leaf.
Minikit #6 (03:00):
Up on the higher ground level, at the back there is a target hanging from a tree. Shoot it for the minikit.
Minikit #7 (03:08):
At the front of the higher ground level, there is an injured animal. Heal it for the minikit.
Minikit #8 (03:54):
There are three spiders to shoot. One, near minikit #5, and two more on the higher ground level at the back. Destroy all three for the minikit.
Minikit #9 (04:12):
Once you’re throwing fire bombs from the top of the tree, destroy the three purple plants in view for the minikit.
Minikit #10 (04:29):
During the final battle, shoot the three archers at the back high up in the trees for the minikit.
Treasure #1 – Bug Net (00:24):
In the first area after the running, head to the left and you should see a net on a large orange branch. Destroy everything in front of it and use Bilbo and the ring to rebuild the pieces into a cracked wall. Smash it with a dwarf for the treasure.
Treasure #2 – Pine Comb Bomb (01:20):
Head to the front right of the area and use the hanging poles to work your way around the cliff edge to a hidden platform. Use Sauron to destroy the chest for the treasure.
Treasure #3 – Tuning Fork (02:43):
Once you’ve crawled through the hatch up to the higher level in the first section, there is a blue branch for a wizard to shoot. Shoot it for the treasure.
Treasure #4 – Goblin Feet (03:31):
On the higher ground level, head to the far right to find a silver bricked group of rocks. Destroy them for the treasure.
Blacksmith Design – Mithril Music Kit (01:46):
In the first area after the running, there is a dig-spot off to the left. Dig up a key and then head over the back right to find a cracked wall. Smash it with a dwarf and head into the darkness as a wizard for the chest containing the instructions.
