This guide will show you how to achieve 100% completion on LEGO Lord of the Rings Level 13 – The Secret Stairs.
The video will show you what is required to 100% the level with additional detail below for each part. Each level of the core story requires you to collect the following:
- Ten Minikits
- Three Treasures
- A blacksmith design

Minikit #1 (01:09):
At the start of the level, there is an axe point on the wall to the left. Hit it for the minikit.
Minikit #2 (01:18):
As you begin the stairs climb, the first break in the steps, there is a dig spot. Use this for the minikit.
Minikit #3 (01:41):
At the top of the first set of large steps, when the camera pans to near birds-eye view, there are arrow points allowing an elf to swing over to the minikit.
Minikit #4 (02:05):
After crossover the long bar that you shimmy across, you’ll see a large silver-bricked object at the bottom of the stairs. Destroy it and build it into a stair lift. Use the stair lift for the minikit.
Minikit #5 (01:36, 01:52, 03:12):
There are five plants that you need to destroy along your path up the steps. Following the story path, you shouldn’t miss any. Destroy all five for the minikit.
Minikit #6 (03:28):
At the start of the cave section, there is a dig spot off to the left, the minikit is in the dig spot.
Minikit #7 (04:22):
When you reach the point in the cave with the Gollum wall, to the right of the Gollum wall you’ll find a silver-bricked web. Destroy it and the minikit is behind it.
Minikit #8 (04:30):
In the next section of the caves, there is a minikit hanging from webs. Shoot it down.
Minikit #9 (04:37):
In the next section of the caves, there are two morgul rocks. Destroy these and build a fly out of the bricks left behind. Finally, use magic to move the fly into position for the minikit.
Minikit #10 (05:22):
In the running sequences, there are three egg clusters to hit on your way down. First is on the right, second on the left, third on the right. Hit all three for the minikit.
Treasure #1 – Surefooted Greaves (00:19):
At the beginning of the level, on the left wall up high there is a target to hit. Shoot it to reveal a tracking item that Aragorn can follow to the treasure.
Treasure #2 – Muddy Armor (02:41):
Next to the Gollum wall about halfway up the stairs, there is an axe point. Use it and then build a small crane out of the bricks left over. The crane will retrieve the treasure.
Treasure #3 – Spider Fang (04:10):
As you’re heading through the spider caves, keep an eye out for a strong pull handle on the left side of the tunnels. Use this to retrieve the treasure.
Blacksmith Design (03:55):
In the first section of the spider cave, head up a lit-up tunnel with webs blocking the access. Smash your way through until you reach the design.
