Let’s Play: LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga #4 Mos Espa Pod Race


After the success of LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game and LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy, TT Games decided to release a game which compiled the two into one, 36-level epic combining all six of the Star Wars movies at the time. Some cynics may call this a money-making scheme to cash in on work they’d already done, but to me, this is the definitive edition of what are still, nearly a decade and a half on, two of the best LEGO games ever made.

Part 4: Episode One: The Phantom Menace – Mos Espa Pod Race

With Christmas on our doorsteps, there’s nothing better than looking back at things long past and so I bring you the start of another epic Let’s Play series. This, however, isn’t a brand new LEGO game, not even a recent one, but the true template of everything that has come since, the original (well sort of).

Buckle up, because the odds of enjoying this are far better than surviving a trip through an asteroid belt.

After successfully escaping from Naboo on the shiniest spaceship in the history of science fiction, Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, and Queen Amidala find they have a faulty hyperdrive and must head to a trading post on the outer-rim in search of a replacement.

With no hope of obtaining a new hyperdrive using Jedi mind tricks, the group put their mission’s success in the hands of a small child named Anakin Skywalker and his pod-racing ability…
