LEGO People Arrive in Houston

Ever imagined heading outside on your lunch break at work, sitting down to take in the lovely weather and a bite to eat, and suddenly realise you’re sharing your bench with a person made entirely of LEGO?

Well, at the Allen Centre’s The Acre development in Houston, Texas that is exactly what is happening, with the installation of six monochromatic figures made from LEGO bricks. The display is the brainchild of Nathan Sawaya, who just so happens to be a certified LEGO Master Model Builder and a LEGO Certified Professional and is endorsed on LEGO’s official website.

His figures are placed on benches around The Acre, where workers looking to relax are encouraged to take pictures and selfies with the models, which are reportedly made up of nearly 21,000 bricks per model, and held together with plastic adhesive.

The figures will be on display until August 10, and then move to 2 Houston Centre until August 24.
